Our Daily Needs

084233307x_1 I was to attend TAMI Malayalam (with English translation) service last night, an Evangelist from Kerala, India just came to minister.  I called up my prayer partner Sandeep (also our youth Pastor) and confirm my attendance.  As I enter the vicinity of the Trinity Church several services are taking place simultaneously.  I noticed that there’s a Filipino Church service happening in the down hall.  I peep and saw my Kabayans singing and worshiping.  I proceed to my destinations - the upper hall.  As I open the door, I saw the our church members (all Malyali’s) but I havent seen Sandeep around so I decided to go down to the bookstore.

At the bookstore, the book "Touch Points for MEN" cathches my attention.  I get a copy and rush to the counter.

While on my way back to the church service, I pass by once again the Filipino Church (haven’t been attended Filipino Church), one middle aged Filipina gave me smile as if inviting me to come over to their fellowship.  As she enter the hall, once again I heard the music ministry leading the worship,  I decided to enter and attend their prayer meeting.  After a while, the praise and worship ended and one kabayan extended his hand and ask for my name.  We sat together to listen to the Word and he also briefly explain about their church - Day by Day Christian Ministry.

After reaching home, late in the evening, I read several topics in the book.  Each entry contains thought-provoking questions on the topic, answers from the scriptures and a promise from God’s Word.  It is a helpful tool for our daily battles. If you really come hungry and thirsty for the Word, HE will definitely fill you up.  There are so many times that I backslided in my Christian walk but HE always remain faithful to HIS promises for me.

I may not be able to attend the Malayalam service last night, but one thing for sure, everything happens for a purpose and HIS plans. I just hold on to HIS promise in the book of Jeremiah 29:11 " For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.
